WV School of Banking

Description

2020 has brought many challenges including how to bring quality education to our bankers online. We have learned so much over the past year and as we venture into 2021, we are still seeing a virtual setting in most applications, including WVBankers 2021 Banking School.

I am happy to say that not everything has changed. Our WVBankers staff, Banking School Trustees, and our amazing Faculty are invested in making sure that the 2021 Bank School provides a valuable and memorable experience.

While the school will look very different this year, there are some things that will remain consistent with past years...

  • Challenging and engaging curriculum
  • The BEST Banking School faculty
  • Opportunities to network and build relationships with peers

We are confident that with your help we will pull off the best virtual banking school possible.  We have had to make a few changes to the curriculum to accommodate the online environment and the breaks needed for students.  Please see the brochure for the updated curriculums.  Classes have been shortened to 50 minute sessions.

Discounted tuition and a virtual environment will provide an opportunity for bankers who have not previously been able to attend banking school due to personal, family and professional limitations on their ability to travel out of town for extended periods of time.

Virtual WV School of Banking: Prepares bank employees with a broad and fundamental understanding of significant banking, economic and monetary issues, as well as a better understanding of the day-to-day banking operation.  Since 1944, this two-year program features a challenging curriculum taught by a faculty with both excellent teaching credentials and vast experience.  Combined with lectures and home study assignments, the students participate in a bank simulation game, a tool for learning about financial institution management.  This school is a must for bankers who consider banking their career choice!

$1,095.00 Member Tuition/$1,695.00 Non-Member Tuition

Virtual Llyod P. Calvert Graduate School of Banking: To continue our efforts to offer quality education, we added a third year to the School in 2001 for students who have completed the first two years of the School and would like to return for graduate-level classes. Graduates of other banking schools are also encouraged to apply. The student must have had prior training on Bank Simulation or Bank Exec. Each year, the Graduate School is enhanced with a more challenging curriculum, as well as advanced bank simulation.
